CURE stands for Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy. CURE is a non-profit organization which focuses its energies on raising funds with which to support research into finding better treatments and hopefully one day a cure, for this devastating illness. CURE also hopes to educate the public and increase awareness about what is often a hidden disease which can be surrounded by misunderstanding caused by lack of correct information.
The major focuses of CURE are to support major breakthroughs in research, raising awareness throughout the United States, understanding unexplained death in epilepsy and supporting those who develop epilepsy as a result of traumatic brain injury, especially soldiers.
